Quite possibly. We don't know what all the police are doing at the area, just what is being shown with little context here. That's what is dangerous about social media.

You could for the capitol hill riots go with it was a peaceful riot where police let them in from one side or it was a violent riot that attacked police from another, when it in actuality was probably both but moreso the latter.

I have zero doubt police are supposed to create containment and a perimeter in such a situation. Having randoms running into a hostage/active shooting area is obviously a huge no go, and if they persisted would need to be stopped by means we see here.

The question is what else is going on here? Is this all the police in one area just tussling with parents? Or is this police awaiting backup and equipment? Is this a small contingent of police enforcing a containment while others are breaching inside the school (attempting)?

I have no idea, but I am not going to say that police are wrong in something presented without full context.

Now if the reports are true that police were entering to personally get their own children out of the school and not others kids, then the police who did that are fucked up (though I understand as a parent, but no no no as a police officer).
