Even very close may be rounded to 1 and be treated as a hit let alone infinitely close. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if an attack being 0.4 pixels off got rounded to be counted as a hit. In any case, this example doesn't apply since a video game would round numbers all over the place and the original scenario does not.
