Sonic had the air bubbles, Mario had the weird(different) movement characteristics, etc. I don't think there was one that made the game play easier on purpose. I mean there could have been. But I don't know of even. The air thing sucked... Though, I think it was Banjo-Tooie that gave unlimited air, or something... And I totally forgot about the swimming motions. I mentioned moving in all directions, but I forget that swimming itself could be difficult...
