It's not like any kids growing up today are going to be able to afford houses when they grow up anyway. No reason to know how to care for your yard if you're never going to have a yard. In the same way that most people don't think we should teach every kid today the proper care and maintenance of a horse. Or how to keep your sword and armor from rusting.
