| andylt 06/05/22 6:46:58 AM #32: | The Blue Reverberation Passing through the Forest Southern Twilight ~ Dance on the Cape of Good Hope Match 1 is a bit underwhelming, they're both in the styles of stuff I can really like but neither reaches its potential. Blue reverb doesn't travel anywhere exciting, but it has a solid enough foundation. I don't enjoy Forest as much as I did when going through the bracket, it's gently pleasant but a little generic. Say what you will about Elephant, it's not generic! I really like the bits with the heavy beats and backing vocals (like from 0:07), but some of the rest is unfortunately a bit, well, obnoxious. Yggdrasil is a perfectly average song that does exactly nothing for me. Twilight is the highlight of the day by a large margin, I will happily let this song take me away on its voyage. I wonder if David Wise was inspired by this kind of thing, it would fit right in with DKC. The back half isn't quite as strong but who cares, it's still fun and by that point I'm content being on board for the duration!
