isn't this one of those things where this isn't actually a partisan issue, it's actually an issue with oil/gas worldwide?

i mean, it's easy to blame the politicians, and it's easy to blame the corporations, but that just feels a little... too easy.

think about it, we're seeing posts from all over the world about gas. i saw one from france where it was the equivalent of like $7.50 USD per gallon.

so like, to blame it all on the corporations would imply that every gas company in the world gathered via zoom and said okay let's raise our prices slowly over time and we all win, ready set go. because gas is high everywhere. i also think the "record breaking profits" talking point, while valid to an extent, is unfortunately just bad timing due to the high demand resulting from people traveling for pleasure and being forced to commute back to work every day.
