DeSantis would be 10x better than Trump would be (reminder - Trump only lost by around 100k votes in 2020 in the swing states that matter, he could easily win in 2024 if he is nominee).
Tim Scott is articulate, intelligent, and empathetic. I'd actually be cool with him as nominee. I think he would be a great foil to DeSantis's personality.
DeSantis is smart and calculated. DeSantis would be a much more effective administrator, as he has proved in Florida. And everyone here knows that DeSantis as the nominee might be able to carry 35-40 states in 2024 if Biden's polls continue to drop and the country keeps going down this path.
Trump winning is no sure thing if he is nominee even if Biden is polling in the 30s by then, he already lost once and half the country hates him on a moral/personal level.
So basically, I'm in on DeSantis because he is intelligent, effective, and has a much better chance to win in 2024.
I see, has he held a position other than governor?
