Padme falling for Anakin after he killed the sand people is whats really fucked up. Anakin killed them because his mother died in his arms and they tortured her, so his rage here was actually understandable and NOT dark side. He also feels regret after when he tells Padme showing he feels atleast some remorse.

Padme just seems like oh poor you killing off some pests, her reaction shows she is not bothered these people were killed. Padme just wants to confort him as if he did no big thing.
