Its a strange one because the writing is terrible but the characters manage to be more likeable and it really pulls off your choices shaping the narrative in a way that none of the other David Cage games have.

This basically. I still think the writing and not just the characters in Connor's section are pretty consistently better than the rest so I give it a slightly better rating.

It's also one of the few David Cage games where the stupid as hell third act plot twist doesn't completely ruin the entire narrative. (The other one is Beyond 2 Souls because it arguably barely has one, but it also doesn't need one to derail it.)
