You communicated a deficit of 500 calories compared to a pound of fat (3500 calories). What that screenshot/Google is actually saying is a deficit compared to a persons daily caloric intake that would result in no change in weight (based on their exercise, general health, current body weight, etc)

What you said is accurate for *some* people, but a 500 deficit for *most* people would be eating 1500-2000 calories a day, not 3000.
