People asking for a 1:1 remake when the original exists isn't unreasonable at all. They just want the same story told with modern gameplay and the title of remake made them believe they would get it. People shouldn't act like that's so weird.

I personally enjoy them doing something else and I absolutely enjoyed the first FFVIIR, though doesn't mean we can't come with criticism. I feel like a lot of valid criticism with the first game was brushed off as "you just wanted the original", which isn't fair.

We don't know how much it differs from original content yet either, might be close to nothing for all we know, don't take the title to mean all that much. They can go different routes as long as we get to meet our main casts and visit places like Gold Saucer in all its HD glory. I think the first game showed the know to include these aspects.

Two games more is probably for the best, if it means it'll have less filler levels of going through sewers. If done right, 2 more games is better than 3 more. Return is a good guess for third now that reunion ahas just been used.
