Randomization sounds a little chaotic. Why not default to which of the tied peeps reached the requisite vote count first?

E.g.:
Person A has 3 votes. Person B has 2 votes. Someone votes Person B. Since Person A was at 3 votes first, Person A gets lynched.

Person A has 4 votes. Person B has 3 votes. Someone unvotes Person A. Since Person B was at 3 votes first, Person B gets lynched.

(Special case)
Person A has 4 votes. Person B has 2 votes. Someone unvotes Person A and votes for Person B. In this case, both Person A and Person B reached 3 votes at the same time. We'll give priority to the unvote here since, otherwise, Person A would have had a majority. So Person A gets lynched.

... Perhaps too systematic and convoluted? I'm sure random selection works well, but losing to RNG never feels good.
