Man, I'm with the First Order on this one.

It has a long history, but it is kind of getting a little creepy just how few shits Star Wars gives about stormtroopers.

I get that they're literally Nazis, but I feel like maybe we should see some of that before you start cutting them in half with doors and stuff? Like absolutely revelling in every moment of pain they feel.

Every time a character interacts with a stormtrooper they're portrayed as mostly nice/normal people, sometimes even for comic relief. And then Finn and the background lore suggests stormtroopers are controlled using brain washing, which never gets acknowledged in more than an off hand way.

They're just an iconic part of Star Wars and I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about them. If they're just supposed to be Nazis maybe depict some of that instead of going out of the way to show the Empire as inclusive and progressive so you can market more toys.
