It's a holiday, even if it's one that isn't necessarily celebrated with fireworks? BOOM! Little Timmy gets stuck in the well? BOOM! The 4th is just when the problem is at its worst. Every year I actively hope and pray for rain, July 4th is the one time of the entire year I actually want rain, but noooo. God has other plans. And no I didn't call the cops.
