We didn't win the Senate, so it wasn't good enough, no. That's not the fault of everyone who voted, but it's still a fact that we'd be in a much better position if everyone who agreed with left-leaning policies actually showed up when it mattered most.

What I'm admitting to is that the system has no hope and will not get better from here on out. I wouldn't say that's the same thing as being 'cool' with it, just recognizing reality.

Are we fucked? Yes.

Are there things Democrats could do to lessen the fuckery? Absolutely.

Are they doing them? No.

And just like how the common position is that Dems never did anything about codifying Roe (and in fact, did zero to prepare for the ruling despite it leaking) because they wanted it to be under threat to motivate votes, I dont think they actually give a fuck, and at this point since they wont start taking risks to help people, Im failing to see the point in voting for them to go to Washington.

I think it would probably be a better message if local Dems kept getting elected while Democrats at the national level get blown out historically.
