NARWHAL is pretty empty to me. The wubbing, hushed vocals, piano, I get little from any of it. 4:06-4:34 is decent tho. Desertdesert is a track I feel I should really enjoy, but for whatever reason I only think it's alright. There's nothing wrong with it, and I quite enjoy the experience of listening to it, it's just not amazing. That said, the warbling from :57 is great. The first half of Goatse Yakuza has cool strings but I think the dancey beat intrudes on it. I don't like the initial shift into the second half either, but the song somehow ascends into a glorious epic by 4:37 and pretty much stays up there for the rest of its runtime. Close match, but I'll give it to the one with higher highs. I know it's well-trodden ground to be shocked at the high quality of an OST coming from an unlikely source... but really, this is from a golf game?! My god this is good. The instrument choices seem fresh, and the moody beat works so well with the grand tragic climax. Gambit is decent, it's a fun ride with few lagging points (some sections drag a little long but nbd). Fav part is the jazzy section at 1:46. Rough matchup for it, I'm afraid!
