I can see a few spiral galaxies scattered around that pic; can you usually see them that clear, or is this a result of the Webb telescope's new tech? As for the concept of light and distance, something that always helps my dumbass remember / conceptualize it is one of Dr. Manhattan's lines from Watchmen: 'All we ever see of stars are their old photographs.'
