Source: Most states having up to 30% of buyers backing out due to not qualifying per rising interest rates. Higher interest rates means less acquisitive power. That 300k house will now pay over 2k instead of 1,500. And with inflation, families have even less purchasing power.

Some states are being affected worse than others, but its simple math. Houses ARE inflated due to the high demand/low inventory/historically low interests during covid. Those prices are not real nor sustainable. With higher inventory/high interest rates prices will have nowhere to go but down.
