It doesn't really do anything new, but all of the fantasy tropes it uses, it understands perfectly and gets right. The worst parts of the show's style are, weirdly, when it goes full-bore anime chibi and stuff. I would call TLA an almost perfect show, really, and a perfect example of how far you can go with just really nailing the basics of what you do. Observer Dead Space Bayonetta Kingdom Hearts Superman Smashes the Klan Kubo and the Two Strings Tales from the Crypt Comix Zone El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Punisher (Greg Rucka) Okami: Super stylized Japan, got it. Instead of talking about that, I want to talk about what foreign countries Japan uses in games of this nature. Like, Pokemon has a billion games, and it's used Japan four times, the USA, Hawaii (which I'll count separately), France, Britain, and soon-to-be Spain. I can't recall any Japanese product ever that involves Latin America, the Middle-East, India, or China in any way, except super brief cutaways for whatever reason. I guess there are RotTK stuff for China, too, but still. Samurai Jack Hollow Knight Mario Strikers Journey (Game) Punch-Out!! South Park Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Yoshi's Island Mad God (2022): There's enough gross creativity in here that I have to give it a C at least, but as I said before, I'm not a fan of stop motion. That said... it flows so well that parts of it barely look stop motion at all. Courage the Cowardly Dog The Sims 4 Little Nightmares II Transformers Bakemonogatari: I looked it up, and though it appears to be a boiler-plate anime at first glance, I slowly realized there is indeed some weird stuff. I think it's going to for horror in a lot of these scenes, but it doesn't land for me at all. Code Name STEAM Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo Blacksad Warioware Odin Sphere Shadow of the Colossus Vib-Ribbon Adventure Time Ib Alice's Wonderland Bakery: I'm probably on some kind of list now for watching part of the first episode on youtube, so thanks. I'm going to say that Alice in Wonderland is like the most overused of the classic 19th century canon? Anyway, I have no idea what you expect me to say about this, it's Alice in Wonderland as a five year old cook in modern CGI. They added new characters like a book, presumably because it's difficult to rationalize the mad hatter as a baking enthusiast. Wait, didn't he really like tea? D Tier Halo Legends: The Duel Waking Life Pizza Tower Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls: Honestly? The fact that this is animated in MS Paint gives it a lot of credibility with me. Obviously, it still looks like complete ass, but I respect that someone tried something so weird.
