A Tier
Chrono Trigger: Absolutely perfect designs for everyone and everything. I can't think of anything I would change. Unlike Dragon Quest, which has some weaknesses thanks to varying levels of technology existing throughout the series' run, Chrono Trigger was made at the end of the SNES' lifespan, which means the developers had absolute system mastery by that point, and Toriyama to do all of the design work. There's nothing this game does less-than-perfectly... except starting a series, I guess.
X-Men (Jim Lee)
Dragon Quest
Persona 5
Ace Attorney
Bioshock
Batman: The Animated Series
Batman Beyond
Paper Mario
Cuphead
Team Fortress 2
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

B Tier
Ghost Trick
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind: In terms of design, A+ job for a fantasy setting. Everything is so unique compared to your normal setting. The graphics, though, just weren't there yet. This game looks like complete ass even compared to games from like 1995, but everything about it just oozes fantasy. Actually, the main thing I remember about this game is from Board 8. I remember when it came out, and someone on Board 8 mentioned it as the apex of all video games, saying that walking near an NPC and him turning his head to face you, as if he was looking at you, is the most impressive technical achievement in any video game ever and basically can't be topped for realism.

Bloodborne
Punch-Out!! (Wii)
Futurama
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
The Last of Us Part II
Okami
Library of Ruina
Yazuka
Sonic Mania: Did you mean the gameplay? Because it's just classic Sonic. Did you mean the cutscenes? Because those are a little more distinct. They get Sonic's speed down, which is whawt matters. Goddamn Sonic, no series has ever fell harder. I'll give it this, though: Sega's never been so protective of the brand that it squashes weird new ideas, like Nintendo does with Mario. Sonic in an Arthurian storybook? Shadow killing the President of the United States? Sonic turns into a werewolf? Throw it all in.

C Tier
Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
Kholat
Mirror's Edge
MORE
Flip Flappers
The Dark Spire: When I first pulled up screen shots of this game, I didn't expect it to be an RPG. How bizarre. Pretty good for a DS game, though.
Arcane
FLCL
Dreaming Mary
Hawkeye (David Aja)
Red Dead Redemption
Koumajou Densetsu: Scarlet Symphony
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Super Mario Galaxy
The World Ends With You: Distinct from normal anime, which is good. I like the goth girl with eyeshadow. Very punk vibes, when there's nothing I can think of less punk than anime video games.
Super Mario Bros (NES)
Zenless Zone Zero
One Piece
Yu-Gi-Oh!
Street Fighter VI
South Park
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Yoshi's Island
Mad God (2022)
Courage the Cowardly Dog
The Sims 4
Little Nightmares II
Transformers
Bakemonogatari
Code Name STEAM
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo
Blacksad
Monster Sanctuary: The spritework really just looks like normal spritework. If I was going to think of the Platonic ideal of a sprite game, it would be this. The actual art is very 90s in its feeling, even if it's clearly not from the 90s.
Warioware
Odin Sphere
Over the Garden Wall
Shadow of the Colossus
Vib-Ribbon
Adventure Time
Ib
Alice's Wonderland Bakery
Zero Time Dilemma: Speaking only about its visual design and nothing else... It's fine. Serviceable. Not as good as the first game, which has a really classic anime look, but it's fine. I've read people say that much of this game was determined by the fact that the writer played the Walking Dead games just before making it, and rewrote everything to fit into that mold. No idea if that's true or not. I'll say this: the greatest strength of this series is that it treats the craziest stuff realistically, and this game sort of continues to do that.

D Tier
Halo Legends: The Duel
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion
Goodnight Punpun
Splatoon: Again, this is one of those things that doesn't appeal to me at all, but I can acknowledge the artistry behind it and appreciate that it appeals to others. The bright, vibrant colors in an urban setting and the general vibe of the characters feels almost graffiti-ish. I remember when the first game was announced, and people were like "did they invent this IP just to have a new character in Smash?", because this is by far the most visually interesting new game Nintendo's put out in forever. Jesus Christ, that was seven years ago.
Waking Life
Pizza Tower
Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls
It's Such A Beautiful Day: Someone really likes weird experimental animation, I see. Stick figure animation was never really my thing, but I appreciate the weird narration style and juxtaposition with real life videos. As it goes on, it gets a little more horror-y? Not quite, but I don't know how else to explain it.
Peanuts
Mob Psycho 101
Monokune (2007)
Mega Man (Ruby Spears)
Speed Racer (Anime)
Va11 Hall-A
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)
Bob's Burgers
Bucky O'Hare
Parappa the Rapper
Donha Donha
The Simpsons (Tracey Ullman): Will anyone get on my case for saying that this art is ugly and that things improved drastically when they launched the show properly? Although, I'm not sure if I like this art more or less than the later computer era of the show, where everyone's movements are slightly too smooth.
Hylics
Hulaing Babies
Kaiba
Code Lyoko
Umineko (Original)
Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction
