Cash is annoying, dirty, outdated, and woefully less secure, despite what so many naysayers will tell you. Cards get stolen? I can have them frozen, with my money back by the next day. Wallet full of cash gets stolen? S. O. Fucking L. To say nothing of coins and how obnoxious they are (can only imagine how much money people just lose every year because they lose track of coins).

I keep a couple emergency $20s on hand if I know I'm going through some rural or poorer area, because shops and places around there will often only accept cash (at least for certain transactions) just to avoid the processing fees (or maybe theyre operating under the table; who cares), but otherwise, cards or apps all the way.
