I used to work around this guy years ago who would go on about how 2.0 and 3.0 would change the world. He was very excited. I remember building a board in 2011 and it had 3.0 connections that were blue. And I remember thinking about how they must be too badass to be white. They're blue now. Maybe 4.0 will be red.

I still tell people "remember to use the blue ones for devices that need speed (like drives) and not things like mice", but that's on the way to being outdated info.
