Waiting over a fucking year to get back top secret documents that could get spies killed seems really fucking stupid. It's about closing out any possible routes for Trump to weasel his way out. Rushing to prosecute could mean missing a technicality that allows Trump to get away scot-free, and that means further emboldening his rabid fanbase and the GOP politicians protecting him. It also paints a huge target on the FBI's back from Trump's allies. Any shot taken at Trump has to be a direct hit and it has to kill. We cannot risk the opportunity to nail Trump to the cross because we were too hasty, given that Trump has the ability to narrowly skirt consequences and become even more powerful for it. --- I have nothing else to say ...
