By which I don't mean that they were more passionate about any given gaming-related hobby, as much as I mean most of them were socially awkward weirdos with no personality outside of their own narrow sphere. And were the sort of stereotype of the hygiene-afflicted people you tend to see at cons. When you go so deep into your geekdom that you sort of forget what it means to be a human being, that's a bad thing. And a sad thing.
