Its a really odd one, it starts bad, in its attempt to fix a key criticism of FFXII by refocusing on Vaan and Penelo, it strips setting of the political intrigue that was the first games strength and loses most of the interesting characters. It feels tonally strange, like they tried to make a kids game out of a more adult setting. Then, most of the way through, things start to change. It actually introduces some really good worldbuilding and does some cool stuff with its villains, as well as bringing the better XII characters back. By the end of it I was surprised by how much I liked it, it was better than FFXIIs story actually.

This is definitely not the result of a hastily watched Lets Play to stop this from being the first zero vote game.

Incidentally, this game actually sold pretty well, over a million. It did much better than Stranger of Paradise though I imagine that does better here due to its sheer silliness.
