I absolutely understand this when it's someone whose work has impacted your life and you feel a connection to them because of it... but the royals don't fuckin do anything, what is there to get attached to? Tax dodging? Inbreeding? Wealth hoarding? Representing the idea that some people deserve more than others because of their bloodline? Funding the legal defence of paedo relatives? Hell, even the Kardashians have that TV show so people can feel like they know them.
