It's understandable! Also nice to see IJ on your shows list.

Nah I've never been to one. I wouldn't mind trying snowboarding though.

What's a music genre you've always wanted to listen to more of?

I guess Pop music. I only know of the big popular artists.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Yeah, even writing a game is a lot of work, and you need that to get off the ground. I gotta learn either art or coding and need somebody like-minded to do the other. I can learn but it'll take me a while, especially as I slow down as I get older. I feel a lot older than I am for whatever reason.

My first smartphone was a Samsung GS1. Didn't want any of Apple's overpriced trackers from back in the day. The movie was every much an action flick as it was a criticism of Apple's desires to take over the world, including suing Samsung over Android phones because Apple had a patent for things they didn't invent. Thankfully, Apple's attempt at making that reality failed, so the criticism is no longer needed. They've mellowed out quite a bit but could stand to treat their employees better.

I'm glad you aren't chasing fame - that's a mistake a lot of rookie musicians make. They say they're going to make it big and they don't. Same holds true for writers. The wish should be to fund a living doing what you love, not to get rich and famous. Because with money and fame comes TMZ stalkers and crazed lunatics fawning at you when you're stocking up on your usual stuff at Target. Taylor Swift has a lot of songs that are very critical of the celebrity culture, because all she ever wanted was to make a living by writing music. She didn't want the stalkers or twits obsessed with every guy she's kissed. She wants to be a person just like everyone else.

The fact that you're taking life experience and setting a soundtrack to it, especially if it's melancholy yet exotic, is huge in relatability - we've all experienced emotional grief at one point or another. That's great and something you should definitely continue that. But one thing with making a band - you need to be aware of who you'll be compared to, and you need to be able to compare yourself to another artist. If you say "I'm new and different, there's nobody like me" record execs usually respond "We've heard a lot of people say that before, kid." They will think you lack self-awareness, and the end product isn't marketable. If you say "it's like crossing Enya with Van Halen" or w/e you see yourself as, THEN you might be able to attract some people who are intrigued by how that works, some of which may be fans of either artist. If you don't have any comparisons, you won't get noticed. You want to at least make enough money to fuel those good times. Sadly, most major-label record companies these days market artists, not music, so you're gonna have to go for an indie label. Good luck.

To answer your question, my grandparents were all born in North America AFAIK. Three were born here in the States and my grandma (who recently passed at 99 y/o) being French Canadian. Never met my mom's mom - she died of breast cancer in the 70s. My mom's dad was born to German immigrants. My dad's dad... might've been a second-generation? IDK. He's been gone for a decade as of next week, and I miss him :(

That went longer than I thought it would! For you: What's your go-to in depressive times? Like... what do you watch/play/do to lift your spirits up? I know "play guitar" is one such thing, but do you have any others?

I miss my paternal grandparents a lot. They brought all our family together during holidays and weekend parties. So many beautiful memories. When they pasted away in recent years all of that stopped. They were the glue to the family. Their house was sold which I sadly miss. I wanted that house, but my uncles wanted to sell it for money.

My maternal grandparents are still alive. Theyre both in their early 90s. I really need to start spending more time with them.

When I am truly depressed I do absolutely nothing. I dont even have the appetite to eat. I dont watch/play anything. Usually I just suffer with it unfortunately. If I force myself to do something that would lift my spirits I would probably exercise. Do some cardio in the house and lift light weights. (Which I normally do on a regular basis)

Whats the phone app you use the most?
