While I'd never bet against modern FE being cringe (generic JRPG fantasy settings, waifu shit, self-reference, and bad character designs are all modern FE staples; this is a lateral move) I think everyone needs to remember that Three Houses looked awful in its first trailer too. Remember the FE: Hogwarts jokes?
