Its OKAY to not want to live around poor people. Most poor people don't even want to live around poor people. They don't live there by choice and you don't need to pretend that you didn't move to a really nice neighborhood specifically to get away from all that shit.

I know it was cool to have a good public face and seem like you were down to earth and identified with the poor mans plight, but the days of being able to take that stance in words and not actions are long gone.

Its not like there are going to be consequences if the Obama's for example just came out now and said "listen, I know what i said publicly, but I just wanted votes. I'm not running now, and living next to poor people is fucking miserable, and I dont want to do it, okay?"

Just drop the pretense is all I'm saying. Anybody with the power to actually do something does not care, and anybody without isn't buying the bullshit anymore.
