Random aside, I appreciate when you note a memorable dice roll in a writeup. I love being able to reminisce on a devastating or miraculous roll in campaigns I've played.

Let me take you back to campaign 1, with my character, Alexander "Fields" McKenzie. Fields had a Clayface baked into him which turned his body composition into sand, and gave him Earth Manipulation powers. It also gave him the weakness (all powers have weaknesses) of, whenever I would roll a nat 1, Fields would turn into sand.

So I don't remember the exact details, but Roz'etta was really pissed at Fastbreak, and Tali wanted to calm down Roz'etta so she lit up her fire, scaring Roz'etta, and basically betraying her entire being, so Roz'etta went to the Gazette where Fields was playing the Entertainer.

Anyway, Roz'etta opened up to Fields, hurt because Tali betrayed her love by using fire. Fields asked her why she was afraid of fire and she said that her fear was just a part of her. It's like asking why Artemis has a tongue. Or why Fields has arms.

So Fields raised his arms up, I rolled for Earth Manip, got a nat 1, and his arms dissolved into sand.

"You were saying?"

Needless to say, it made Roz'etta laugh and happy and it's how Fields became Roz'etta's best friend. Somehow I willed a nat 1 into existence. It was beautiful.
