I remember seeing pictures and admit I was afraid it would happen to me someday. To this day it still baffles me how some people could burn up completely literally leaving nothing behind, yet their surroundings was not affected. Doesn't it take a high ass temp to burn up a body completely.
Basically the clothing of the victim soaks up melted human fat and acts like the wick of a candle. This is called the Wick Effect.
The fire is pretty tiny and fire hates to move horizontal so it stays on the body, just like how a fire stays on a candle.
