So on a certain level I can see how people could be suckered in brexit. The housing crisis in London is absolutely exacerbated by the huge amount of Eastern European migrants that live and work in the city's service industry. So if you are kind of a clueless racist you could easily be like "well if you get rid of them migrants you could fix the housing problem" but that's simply not the case. The housing crisis though is actually conglomeration of about 10 different problems, all of which are structural to the way the UK government and economy works. Not to mention the problems that have now come with the booting out of a huge chunk of your service industry employees.
