A vote of no confidence can FORCE an election... but that's not going to happen since it would be suicide for the party at the moment (same reason they never called for an election under Boris)

Even if the "Tories will only get 2 seats" shit is exaggerated, the reality is if they had an election right now, Labour would dominate the biggest majority possibly ever.

Most likely they will attempt to ride this storm and then some point next year or 2024 when things are less shit, they'll take credit for making things less shit, find something people are mad at Labour about, then call for a general election

2024 is a long way away. Fingers crossed public pressure gets some of these policies reversed then.
