That makes it a bit odd that they would change the ethnic backgrounds of Shaggy and Daphne in a prequel. Is the final episode going to have a cosmic hiccup where a Black man and an Asian woman suddenly become White? (What is their explanation for the younger versions of the characters in A Pup Named Scooby Doo?)
I'm not bothered by inclusive casting, but it seems like they would have had more to gain from making these original characters. That way, they could have returned in future movies or spinoffs. If the next live action Scooby Doo movie has a Black Shaggy and an Asian Daphne, I'm cool with it. It just seems a bit odd to do a race change in a prequel.

Yeah I agree, if you mess with scooby doo lore by changing their races you better make sure you fix it, or else the rest of the story wont make sense
