Where everyone was guaranteed a set amount instead of taking in a (at times fluctuating but often still larger) percentage of whatever total they brought in. The women's team's case was thrown out because 1: they actually made MORE money than the men's team, and 2: they were initially offered the exact same contract as the men and negotiated one with a higher base pay for benched players and better benefits in exchange for a smaller bonus. THEN, after bitching about sexism, and AFTER having their case thrown out, they were offered the men's contract again and turned it down AGAIN. Eventually they settled on a "profit sharing' system with the men's team which, in practice, means the men's team loses like half of their bonus to the women.
