An age limit of 60 for holding public office would certainly have some advantages.

Nobody under 60 would certainly be a good idea. And nobody under 40 should vote.

I dunno: I actually think he's quietly doing as much as it's possible to do in the current environment. He's not, of course, a great and inspiring speaker/leader of people...and that's a very important part of the job. But if I have to choose between functional and boring vs inspiring and ineffective (or Trump, shudder) I choose boring.

Functional? LOL! His presidency has been lousy, but he benefits from getting good PR despite the fact he constantly trips over his own tongue.

He flatout lied about the vaccine rollout, ultimately doing the same thing Trump pledged and leaving it to the states. His approach toward Russia emboldened them to invade for the first time since 2014 when, unsurprisingly, he was VP.

Ideal age for a leading politician is 45-50. Out of principle I'd have a hard time voting for someone over 65. They shouldn't even be working anymore.

The ideal age for a leading politician is 55-65. They need to build up a mix of political and life experience for the role. Ideally, a leader should've served 20+ years in an executive role.

Typically, if you actually want to get things done in government, you need tenure and relationships. Otherwise it's just fractious partisanship and gridlock -- or, even worse -- an endless pendulum swing where things only happen when one party has a super-majority and then things shift when other party has their super-majority.

If we're talking school segregation that ended in 1954. The average age of a congressperson is 59, the last I saw. You have a point, but your numbers don't add up.

Helly and the facts are rarely on speaking terms.
