If votes don't matter, how do we have upsets and land slides and not predict things perfectly.

Because swing states exist, and saying Massachusetts is anywhere close to, say, Ohio is laughable.

Would you bet your life that you know it'll stay blue?

A state where the majority of the Christian population is registered Democrat let alone the agnostics/athiests? Hell yes.

every vote does matter. It's the people passing out the Kool aid convincing you otherwise, or else voting would not matter at all.

I still vote, but I am under no assumption that what I vote matters beyond making a statement about what I believe in. I respect that a lot more than people who say I should only vote for one of the two major parties and in the same breath say that I should go out and vote. With mixed messages like that, I understand why people would rather not vote.
