What you are saying might come from a good place, but practically it doesn't make a lot of sense. He keeps getting banned because he keeps breaking the rules. If he can't follow the rules, then he doesn't need to post here. Posting on GameFAQs isn't some kind of basic human right, and online communities have a right to set standards. What you've said about Duncan could be true of literally any of the other trolls that infest these boards. Nobody here even knows for sure if Duncan has any kind of mental or physical problems. We had a guy some time ago fake having cancer for sympathy.

Frankly, if anyone here is bad off enough that they can't function or control themselves beyond limited conversations on limited subjects, I hope their caretakers or guardians would be monitoring their internet usage and steer them in a better direction.

And lest you call me ableist, I actually am physically disabled in real life and have advocated seriously for disabled people in the past. Disabled people should be reasonably accommodated and treated with compassion. It is not reasonable to expect that a super toxic person who can't follow rules--whatever the reason for that behavior--should continue to have posting privileges indefinitely. Boundaries and limits are a healthy part of life. Everyone at some point needs to be told "no", and there is nothing discriminatory about it.

and i dont disagree with that (for duncan's sake, not ce's) but it's highly unlikely his caretakers even know what gamefaqs is, and ultimately the only one who has the power to keep him off the site is allen.

all i'm saying is if you can't engage with the dude, block him, report him, whatever. if he is indeed disabled, getting nasty with him/dunking on him is not only gross, it's counterproductive. i was advised by one of the therapists for an ASD person in my family, that when you're faced with an unacceptable behavior by an ASD/DD person that you can't reason with, the best course of action is to do your best to not respond to it, positively or negatively, as any form of reinforcement will only encourage repeat behavior. obviously that doesn't apply in all situations (ie: physical violence) but an internet message board with a block function is absolutely one of those situations imo.
