I love my boss. And her boss. We had a meeting today (I work remote, so this was literally the first time I've ever "met" anyone I work with) and they were the nicest people. I went to shake their hands and they both gave me a hug (I'm the only guy on the team lol). Both of them are great leaders, don't give more than you can handle, are extremely knowledgeable and don't berate or put you down. I've literally had my bosses boss tell me I could tell them no sometimes because if they give me an assignment or something new to work on I never say no.

My previous boss the complete opposite. Totally unrealistic expectations, never followed up, outright lied. Some weeks I literally worked every day of the week. On call 24/7. In four months I had two weekends off. Then he had the audacity to tell me I needed to do more and work harder. That's the day I cleaned out my office, handed in my keys and said later. He was pissed I didn't work a notice. I told me best of luck finding someone who would work harder.

Bottom line if you're not happy somewhere just leave. I finally have people who care and appreciate what I contribute. It's amazing.
