I'd recommend getting cookbooks specifically for a slow cooker and an air fryer. Regular cookbooks, especially older ones, often don't translate well to these kind of machines. The Joy of Cooking, 8th edition (2006) has just 2-1/2 pages of slow cooker recipes, and even this paltry selection was dropped from the 9th edition.

You might want to look into getting an "instant pot" as well. It's like the opposite of a slow cooker; it lets you cook foods super fast.

Also, NEVER cook beans in a slow cooker. Many types of beans contain phytohaemagglutinin (PHA), a poison that can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The toxin can be removed by soaking the beans for at least 5 hours then cooking for at least 30 minutes at 212F (100C), or by cooking in a pressure cooker for 45 minutes.. A slow cooker does not get hot enough to destroy the toxin. Canned beans are already fully cooked and are safe to use.
