When Kyrie mentions that "I know where I come from" line, I get that.
I'm Nigerian, I was born there, I know about my family back there and stuff. My wife is half white half black and has always felt a lack of connection to either side of her family.

She was so excited to take one of those ancestry tests to find out about her past (I know about how flawed those tests are and what they actually do and don't tell you), but she asked me if I wanted one done and I just didn't care. I specifically remember saying "ehh, I know where I come from. I don't care about the test.".

And as much as we try to be rational about that stuff not mattering, and try to realize the negative places that line of thinking can lead to, it's a very real thing for people.
