| MaxGalactica 11/15/22 9:39:02 AM #37: | La Danse Macabre is a super catchy banger that's a bit marred by the fact that the Shovel Knight OST has a brickwall master (i.e. it's too loud). Still really great. Mall is pleasant, though it's one of the weaker Minecraft songs in the set. So Shovel Knight gets the edge in this particular matchup. Y'alls are easy to bore if you think the first 3 minutes of Aquamarine are dull. Really nice vocals, melody, guitar, and piano. The second half is obviously very cool too with the addition of the e-guitar. Probably the best song today thus far. Rush Hour is fun, though I wish there was more to it progression-wise. DRIFTING SOUL has some pretty fantastic strings. They're definitely the highlight here. Jen Bird's vocals and the e-guitar is really nice as well. The string outro is a huge highlight for me (one that they unfortunately omitted in the violin version). ARISE WITHIN YOU is definitely the weakest song of the day for me. Nothing really captivates me about it. Fairly easy votes for me today.
