| skulltrumpets 11/16/22 2:59:22 PM #40: | western gunrun goat simulator (forest del chivo) for foliage furnace act 3 out of the sonic mania set, this might be my least favourite, though that doesn't really say too much because i still supported the set and i was adamant on focusing on sets i consider altogether strong those horns are delicious. i was worried that gunrun was gonna be derivative from the intro (my first time listening to it!) and i'm glad that it really takes a wild direction while still being "western" flavoured. great matchup. fuck this match 2 another situation where stuff i /really/ like cannibalises the other flowing time has such gorgeous strings and usage of a time "motif". it feels so dreamy but forest del chivo man oh man, the constant percussion and the effortless flow of the guitar both of these tracks are very "me" in different ways. this one was tough! maybe it's bc i know who seto kaiba is going into this track, but it really screams, to quote a famous piece of yu-gi-oh parody content here "screw the rules, i have money" it is very big and bold. for foliage furnace so fucking funky. funking. preference goes to the latter but i am extremely happy forbidden memories was picked for snubs!! such a cool track i hadn't listened to in a very long time (since before i started curating my vgm better) ...
