| Disillusion 11/17/22 6:44:12 PM #45: | SEE THE SHREWS Suna Gin Musouka (2016) See the Shrews was a lot better than I'd expect it to be; as neat as Para Bellum was, I would have easily loved to have seen Shrews in VGMC! On the other hand, Silent Heaven is alright for what it is. Definitely more on the ambient side than I would usually prefer, but I appreciate the tone and especially those machine noises in the last third of the song. Suna Gin is a real nice song, I really like the vocalist and her soft tone. Gusty Garden (for the uninformed) has always kinda been just there for me; I do like it and I can see why it'd be one of the popular tracks from the game, but I've never been in love with it and would easily prefer a handful of others to take the spotlight instead. Man, as much as I like the high energy that DDR songs usually give me, there's something real special about Musouka - the singer whose voice is just as strong/enjoyable as the one from Suna Gin (if not more), the backing instruments, even the small instrumental bridge before the final chorus just all comes together wonderfully here. This is a magical new discovery for me, really happy to have heard it! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
