Nearly every meal humans eat at this point is dramatically over-prepared far beyond any actual need or historical experience. Even seasoning in general is mostly pointless now that we have preservatives (at least our ancestors used it to preserve food or cover up the taste of food that had gone bad). We're literally about the celebrate the holiday of ridiculously overeating in the US - none of this shit makes sense.
