Because I understand addiction and don't live in a fantasy world where I feel like Im making a difference by not giving them money >_>. That doesn't cure their addiction, it just makes them more likely to get to an even worse place. They're gonna need way more than someone not giving them a dollar or 2 to climb out of the pit of addiction. Im just making it so they can go a little further without more pain. What if your 2 dollars made it so they didn't go through so much withdrawal that they became willing to hurt someone to get to the fix?

You can't guess at these things, but once it gets to that point, they're more likely to hurt someone from not having the fix rather than being on the fix.

I just thought of all this on the spot. So, feel free to throw in your 2 cents.

The news stories around here are never the beggars hurting people as well. It's always the people like one or 2 steps up from that. So, Id technically be not giving them money just out of fear mongering on what they might do.
