I think we're in slightly different fields though. I don't see dementia as much, but I see it enough that it's heart breaking

Ive worked in elder care for 18 years and 10 in dementia care (not in a home or facility, we go to their own appartments, houses etc usually by car).

Im pretty used to the heart breaking stuff, but its still sometimes hits me. So many sad situtatuons, so many family members Ive had to support with various stuff. But there is also much joy, and pride in how much good we have done.

Still I need to stop working in health care alltogether.
