The act seemed to be done in broad daylight - highly risky for one person to stay around for long to misdirect a crime scene alone. Going off that...this could be seen as a "victory" for allen, but as they say be careful what you wish for. His trial is in march, and getting out in feb is more than enough time to get a lynch mob together. He is better off where he is.
