I've had this on my wishlist for a while and I heard the english translation wasn't great to start, but they've been patching it to be better It's still a little bit janky, but you know the core writing is good because the story and characters are still enjoyable despite that. But it isn't so bad. Between godawful 90s jrpg translation, and the good standards nowadays i'd put it on ffX level of translation.
