started off fun but kinda tapers, bruh who thought it was a good idea to put a love triangle plot into this thing, the heteronormativity is so immensely out of place
YOU'RE SENDING ME MIXED SIGNALS....huh?? dude it's literally Wednesday there ain't no signals being sent from her at all and it just reeks of "if a boy and a girl communicate it MUST be romance!"
and then Xavier getting all obsessive dude wth got you so strongly infatuated over this person you have pretty much nothing to do with christ
it's really not worth the Hyde mystery because straight away from episode 1 it's obvious it's one of the two dudes who like her and as the show progress it's obvious Xavier's being red herring'd and Tyler isn't serving a single damn purpose outside of the bad romance so yeah the mystery really fell flat for me and I liked it better when it was focusing more on the ancestor + pilgrims
The plot twist at least makes it clear why Tyler was into her (and maybe even genuinely, in a "maybe she would accept me as a monster" way), but there was just no justification whatsoever for Xavier continuing to care about her after the way she consistently treated him. And you can't even reason that maybe he's just into being mistreated, because if that was the case, he wouldn't have dumped Bianca.
